Flow cytometry can simultaneously measure multiple characteristics of single cell like cell surface and intracellular antigen expression, light scattering properties, DNA ploidy, cell cycle analysis, apoptosis at a rapid rate.

The facility is equipped with a state of the art instrument, which is a two laser system capable of six parameter analysis and cell sorting. The core lab provides instrumentation, technical and professional assistance for flow cytometric analysis.

Investigators are expected to perform their own sample processing and staining procedures in consultation with the members at the facility. The staff members recommend assays, help to develop and troubleshoot new protocols, participate actively in the data analysis, and, in general, work closely with investigators to fine tune their individual experiments.
