A Brainstorming Meeting focused on “Human Embryonic Stem Cells” was organized by Stem Cell Biology Department at NIRRH on January 15 and 16, 2010. Main objective of the meeting was to discuss how to further strengthen and develop the field of ES cells – both to promote basic research and move them to the clinics for regenerative medicine.

The Brainstorming Meeting was followed by a Hands-on Workshop entitled “Human Embryonic Stem Cells: Differentiation and Genetic Manipulation” from January 18-23, 2010 where ten participants from across the Country were trained in state-of-the-art methods pertaining to human embryonic stem cell culture, characterization, differentiation and genetic manipulation.
