The protooncogene, c-kit receptor is one such gene with pleiotropic attributes, which is indispensible for spermatogenesis. Using an in- house designed c-kit transgene construct; we generated SGCs expressing c-kit-GFP. These were used for germ cell transplantation (GCT) in infertile mice to ascertain the role of c-kit in spermatogenesis.
