Stem Cell Network Travel Award 2016

Ms Sandhya Anand PhD student and Technical Officer-A, Stem Cell Biology Department was awarded Stem Cell Network Travel Award to attend 2016 Till & McCulloch Meeting held at British Columbia, Canada from October 24-26, 2016. She presented her work entitled Mouse Bone Marrow Very Small Embryonic-like Stem Cells Differentiate into Germ Cells in vitro. She was also awarded financial support for visit to the lab of Dr. Anthony Scimè, York University, Toronto, Canada for 16 days after the conference.

She presented her work entitled Hematopoietic System Harbors Pluripotent Very Small Embryonic-like Stem Cells with Regenerative Potential.

Mrs. & Dr. G.P. Talwar Oration Award 2016

Dr Taruna Madan, Scientist-E, Innate Immunity received the Mrs. & Dr. G.P. Talwar Oration Award, 2016 by Association of Clinical Biochemists of India at the Association of Clinical Biochemists of India, Mangalore,December 13-15, 2016.

Student Travel Award

Ms. Sukeshani Salwe Ph.D student, Division of Biochemistry & Virology received the Student Travel Award for presenting the work entitled “HIV induced CD4+T cell dysregulation: A case for supplementary immune modulation” at the CYTO 2016 – ISAC’s 31st International Congress held at Seattle, Washington, USA, from 11th –15th June, 2016.
