Ms.Shilpa C.Kerkar, Technician C, Department of Infectious Diseases Biology received Dr.A.S.Nanivadekar award for Best poster presentation (second Prize) at South Asian Chapter of American College of Clinical Pharmacology, 9th International Annual conference on Clinical Pharmacology in Maternal and Child Care , 29th to 30th April 2016 , Nehru Centre, Worli, Mumbai ,India.

Karyalaya Deep Smriti Chinh Puraskar 2016

Ms. Seema Deshmukh Section Officer, Administration receiving Karyalaya Deep Smriti Chinh Puraskar for the year 2016-17 for NIRRH. This award was for best work in Hindi in the Office by Rajbhasha Sansthan, New Delhi at the 80th Hindi Sangosti held at Hotel Mayur, Solan (Himachal Pradesh) between 27th to 29th April 2016.

Ms. Kanchana Ayyar Division of Molecular Immunology & Microbiology was selected for full scholarship award to present the work entitled miRNA let-7f: The key modulator of cervico vaginal immune functions at the HIV Research for Prevention-2016 conference, held on October 17th-21st, 2016 at Chicago, Illinois, USA.

Stem Cell Network Travel Award 2016

Ms Sandhya Anand PhD student and Technical Officer-A, Stem Cell Biology Department was awarded Stem Cell Network Travel Award to attend 2016 Till & McCulloch Meeting held at British Columbia, Canada from October 24-26, 2016. She presented her work entitled Mouse Bone Marrow Very Small Embryonic-like Stem Cells Differentiate into Germ Cells in vitro. She was also awarded financial support for visit to the lab of Dr. Anthony Scimè, York University, Toronto, Canada for 16 days after the conference.

Stem Cell Network Travel Award 2016

Ms Ambreen Shaikh PhD student, Stem Cell Biology Department was awarded Stem Cell Network Travel Award to attend 2016 Till & McCulloch Meeting in British Columbia, Canada from October 24-26, 2016. She presented her work entitled Hematopoietic System Harbors Pluripotent Very Small Embryonic-like Stem Cells with Regenerative Potential.

Dr Taruna Madan, Scientist-E, Innate Immunity received the Mrs. & Dr. G.P. Talwar Oration Award, 2016 by Association of Clinical Biochemists of India at the Association of Clinical Biochemists of India, Mangalore,December 13-15, 2016.

Student Travel Award

Ms. Sukeshani Salwe Ph.D student, Division of Biochemistry & Virology received the Student Travel Award for presenting the work entitled “HIV induced CD4+T cell dysregulation: A case for supplementary immune modulation” at the CYTO 2016 – ISAC’s 31st International Congress held at Seattle, Washington, USA, from 11th –15th June, 2016.
